Architecting Tomorrow: Unveiling the Principles of Sustainable Software Architecture and Beyond

In this 45-minute talk, we explore the key principles of sustainable software architecture. We discuss the importance of power-efficient hardware, efficient stack building, continuous testing, and holistic development. We also emphasize the need for power management goals, employee training, and a culture that prioritizes power management. Lastly, we consider the impact of associated components and system design decisions with impact to the product. The goal of the presentation is to create a holistic architectural picture that is based on the hardware and extends through all layers to the system design with the aim of developing a product that is as sustainable as possible - within a given economic boundary.
